What is your opinion about the Pickens Plan?

I like the wind, but its general plan is deficient. Electric cars are more efficient than natural gas vehicles, and when you build wind turbines, power plants need to back them up when the wind is blowing – often natural gas power plants. So it can not replace natural gas plants with wind and then divert natural gas to power vehicles. Not only is that less effective than the use of wind energy as fuel electric cars, but you need to keep some of the natural gas to support wind power. See the link below for more details.
