What do you get when you mix chocolate and wine? In the case of Clean Solar, Inc., you get solar. Silicon Valley Entrepreneur, Randy Zechman, is the founder City Chocolate Fountains (the largest chocolate fountain rental company in the U.S.). Jeff Ritchey is a San Jose native and wine guru. He is a wine consultant Pichetti Winery, San Saba winery, and has two of his own labeled wines. Together they are co-founders of Clean Solar, a solar installer in Silicon Valley and inclusive.
Randy Zechman readily admit it is a serial entrepreneur. Just over a year ago, two successful companies in its portfolio: sources of the city, chocolate and World 2 Do, Inc., Zechman was ready for a new challenge. Zechman and a friend of eight years, Jeff Ritchey, an award-winning winemaker, attended a series regular monthly Bay Area speaker with a group of friends. After each speaker at a local restaurant would end the debate on the theme that the course of the night, global warming and health of the land were often the center of discussions, which led to them and Al Gore will speak at the Valley State Conference in early 2007.
After seeing Al Gore speak on solutions to protect our planet, Zechman began investigating the energy industry solar. Ritchey, while continuing to grow his label, Sensorium Wines, also shows a growing interest in the green movement, realizing that green technology is the ideal choice for your knowledge in geology, winemaking and construction.
Zechman knew that scientists and the ability of the Ritchey construction that could bring to the table would be the perfect complement to your business and marketing skills, which led him to focus on starting Ritchey solar energy company.
Zechman and Ritchey met weekly for 6 months in the debate and outs of the business and ensure that their ambitions are not stand in the way of their friendship. "We've had a heart to heart with regard to our friendship versus business. They thought they could handle both, and that our friendship is not in the path. "Says Zechman.
"We've been friends for eight years and never thought to go into business with each other, but this presents the right opportunity. With market timing, our passion for doing something good, Randy sales and marketing experience and my technical skills and construction, we realized it was a natural fit. "Says Ritchey.
Clean Solar Inc. quickly became a reality and now a leader in the Bay Area solar installation company. The fuel for business growth is in the form of state subsidy through the years 10, 3.4 billion U.S. dollars of California Solar Initiative. While silicon is still scant, discounts offer customers the opportunity to significantly reduce the cost of installing a solar energy system.
