solar power usb

The ability to use the sun to provide solar charger for electronics daily power like cell phones available. This project requires some technical ability, but can provide a solar power unit that can used to charge your cell phone.
This project is an adaptation of a kit used to charge iPods and other devices USB connector. You will have to obtain a Minty Boost battery charger in order to make the necessary changes to make it a solar charger. Once you have obtained this unit, follow these steps.
This charger works with phones using a USB port for charging. Compatible devices that work with this project, including Nokia, iPhone and Blackberry.
Materials Needed
Minty Boost Battery Charger 1 USB
2 AA or 2 rechargeable Lithium Polymer 3.7V 2000mAh Batteries
Polymer charger Lithium
JST Connector
Small solar cell
2 "by 3" Velcro Strip Adhesive Back
Packing Tape Open
Step 1 — Connect the solar cell
Replace the JST connector on the Minty Boost charger with a JST connector replacement. The connector should be marked "5V" in the circuit load. After this is completed, place the solar cell with JST connector to the Altoids tin, using some adhesive Velcro strips. Remove the tape and marking to the solar cell and the back of the tin of Altoids.
If you are really related to technology, you can choose to build your own Minty Boost charger USB batteries. You can however find it easier and less labor intensive to a complete unit.
Step 2 – Loading Unit
Once solar cell has ensured the Minty Boost charger, set out in the sun to pay. The unit is ready for use when the red LED light. This indicates that the unit is ready to charge your cell phone.
Note: You may decide to replace the AA batteries with rechargeable lithium batteries of 3.7V 2000mAh. If that's the case, would be better for you to build the Minty Boost unit from scratch. The advantage here is that you will not have to constantly switch disposable batteries, as there will be a conduit to plug the unit into a mass storage lithium polymer battery charger for charging. Use clear packing tape to wrap the batteries lithium. This will help keep them safe.
