solar power plant florida

Power that is more practical, wind or solar?
I'm doing a project called make a difference, in which students are supposed to invent a local community project that addresses a critical moral concern. mine is in renewable energy. I live in Florida, and I'm thinking of doing mine a renewable energy source that works with the existing power plant, in an attempt to make the power plant more environmentally friendly, and use renewable energy less expensive. Florida has a lot of flat, vacuum in which to put windmills or solar panels, but do not know what more practical. Solar panels are expensive, but it is questionable whether there is enough wind to make a lot of energy. it is practical? or should combine both?
There seems to be much resistance to the look of wind turbines, in CA we have one million solar roof initiative. The state has set the objective of obtaining solar PV on rooftops 1 million in 2018. We are well on our way. A couple of the benefits the program is that it allows businesses and households to become energyindependentt and allows communities to partially fund programs to help with their local energy needs.
