solar power definition

Solar and wind are both environmentally friendly options that most people consider when thinking about trying to start producing its own electricity in the home. I think it is a good idea to think about the options before making a decision and that's why I'm writing this article.
Energy Solar is also commonly known as solar energy. It is a method that harnesses the incredible power of the sun (which is 93,000,000 miles away from Earth) to create electricity.
When most think of solar energy they think of solar panels. These are also known as solar cells and its more technical name photovoltaic cells. These are devices that are light and convert it into electricity using something called the photoelectric effect.
While most people think of solar panels as an invention of the newer, this is not really the case at all. The first solar panels were created by a man named Charles Fritts way back in the 1880s and have been used to power satellites since 1954!
The amount of sunlight it receives in which they live, it must obviously be a consideration when deciding if solar power is the right choice for your "DIY" renewable energy source. Days if you live in an area where there is much more turbid than the mean (as in Washington State), then it may be advisable to go to the solar path, perhaps a windmill may be more appropriate for you.
Wind power currently accounts for little of the world's electricity production. Currently only 1% worldwide electricity. But while it is in use is still low, has increased rapidly in the last 8 years and most assume that its use will increase in the future, especially with the new president, Barack Obama took office in seeking to have the U.S. economy in a more "green."
Either wind or solar energy (or maybe even both) would be a good option for most people who want the power of their own homes. Both renewable energy options to create the environment that is very good for the environment.
Again, as with solar energy should consider where you live, before you decide if wind energy is right for you. If you live in a place that is very windy, then you definitely should consider that, on the other hand you may want to think twice if your area is quieter than most. Check weather online sites for comparisons, if you are unsure.
Some people worry about their power to leave when the sun goes down, or when the wind stops blowing and decided to go against this route. But that's really a fear absurd, because such systems are equipped with batteries to store excess energy created when it is very sunny or very windy so it can be used when no is so sunny (like overnight) or when s wind.
It can also be a better economic option, because with a renewable energy source, an owner the house no longer have to send money to the power company's utility bill each month. In fact, many electrical companies actually buy excess electricity created based DIY home solar panels and windmills.
Suppose you have the electric company pay you instead of paying them and save the environment while do. That is exactly the position admirable that people using solar and wind power in the country are today.
