What are your opinions about solar shingles? Well, why? Bad? Why? Anyone who is?
He wondered about of these new solar shingles. Are they better than solar panels? Can cover the entire roof on them? How much power supply? Any other information welcome.
Solar shingles are made to look more like a conventional roof. The performance is similar to solar panels, but the position of your house dictate the efficiency. With panels, you can fine tune the angle of incidence. If your house is well placed, then it will be fine and you can save the cost of regular shingles. One thing to consider is the life of the tile and the cost to replace or repair.
