What is your "green" solution to the high personal price of fossil fuels?
I love to hear your ideas and solution. This is what I did … I am in no way assume or say that there is something wrong with their life choices. First, I made a study of our driving, I found that 82% of handling all our travel was within a radius of 3 miles, supermarket, pharmacy, school children, my office, etc. So I bought 2 car electric golf … I also bought a solar charging system … is a 12×12 solar panel connected to a charging cable … so the drive free for 95% of the time. I have spoken to local police and I do not care if they drive on the streets of our 25 miles per hour. Do you have insurance coverage …….. pezzzy easy! Of course we have another car for longer trips, etc, the bad weather that kind of thing. We just completed the 4th month and the estimated savings is $ 2240 for gas …. and zero environmental impact. In March 2009 will be over paying for the investment of purchase. What are your ideas ………………. if you have any questions .. ask and I will answer! have a great day!
The system we have created is very efficient, indeed. Solar, wind, and hydropower based on some of the best ways to extract energy from the environment that would otherwise be lost. The wave of the future, however, lies with hydrogen powered vehicles. BMW has gone with his BMW 7 Series, with an engine that runs on both gasoline and hydrogen (not at the same time, of course!) The current problem is that producing hydrogen requires electricity still made in the burning of fossil fuels, power plants … If you were to use solar panels to power a hydrogen generator, you could drive on hydrogen stored in a rainy day! In addition, you will have a much better vehicle than with any purely hydrogen battery car. Hydrogen energy is only a means of transmission – still energy to separate hydrogen from oxygen. It's nice, although due to turn right back into water after it has been used! With some tinkering, could easily become the preferred method of filling.
