What would make the last building ecologically friendly? Part design, location, etc?
Example: Store, as the Wal-Mart obscenely large DC, near where I live with a green roof and brown roof. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_roof) Maybe even energy turbines wind built on the roof too. Surrounding natural landscape (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_landscaping). Solar panels integrated into the car ports the parking space with electric cars to connect. Catacombs reclimation water under the parking lot. Greywater reuse is a good idea too.
My grandparents house is built on the hillside-6 feet of dirt over the top with the front of every window. To remain above zero throughout the winter, even without the heat. The cable with large diameter copper wire, thus saving as much as the additional cost heavy wire every 7 months or so, as there is less resistance in the wire. He uses rainwater trapped in a shed for all, but potable and gray water from the shower for bathing.
