solar panel watts per square meter

Solar and Wind Energy Compared
With the TV news always reporting on melting ice caps and raising the level the sea in the Seychelles, which makes many wonder what can we do to do "our bit" for the environment. One way is to become as self-sufficient energy as possible. Solar panels and wind turbines are only two options available to you. Although energy is used in the manufacture of these products, generally cause very little in the way of pollution. Once they are installed to maintain indefinitely the production of energy. Also because the energy comes from sun and wind, which do not depend on oil from politically unstable countries like Iraq and Nigeria.
rays of solar energy – The energy of sun are converted into energy when they reach the photovoltaic (PV) module. The PV responds to this by generating an electric current is carried home by cables and circuit breakers.
Wind Energy – This type of energy production is very different from solar but there are similarities with how they work. The propeller is turned by the force of wind. The propeller is connected to a shaft which is surrounded by a magnet surrounded by a coil of wire. The magnet either near the turns of the cable or wire turns producing the force to the electrons. This forces the electrons along the wire which is how the electric current occurs.
Sounds like the perfect solution for our energy needs it? Sun and wind cost nothing and will never end. But it does cost a lot money and there are some limitations to how that can be used.
Costs – Some people may argue that no matter what cost these methods, environment is more important than money. But unless you are a millionaire, the cost is very important. The cost of production, transportation and installation are added. Unfortunately right now the cost just does not accumulate until oil and coal.
Efficiency – Solar panels require energy from the sun as if installed in Ecuador, you will be able to reach 1.00 watts per square meter of solar panel. Unfortunately, if you live a considerable distance from Ecuador and the experience of many gray days will only get around 125-375 W / m 2. Efficiency is also necessary factored in, you only get 10-15% efficiency in terms of how it is produced.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the solar panels covering the roof can still generate enough power for your home. While you are careful about how to use electricity and do not waste it, leaving appliances on every day when not in use.
Energy Problems Wind – Engineers have a tendency to think of wind farms from the perspective of engineering. They do not seem to think about how a wind farm affect local area – both visually and in terms of wildlife. Many of the windiest places are home to a variety of bird species. You can imagine the consequences if a bird flying into a turbine. Soon it could kill an entire herd.
So if there is a drop in the levels of wind, the amount of energy produced is considerably hampered. The turbines also need to be paired with a storage system and the energy produced is not as good as we would like.
In saying this, this type of energy production has to be an important part of our future energy production. We simply can not continue as we are. Over time the oil is going to be so low that prices soar and pollution levels worse than they are now. The technology is constantly advancing and efficiency levels are and are becoming increasingly affordable. For many many years however, before replacing oil and coal.
