What are thin film solar panels, and what could possibly be so exciting about them? Why are they so important to the future alternative energy and solar energy on this planet?
Thin film solar panels work the same way that regularly make solar panels, the only difference is that they are much thinner and require far less materials and energy for construction.
This might not sound very spectacular, but it really is. This is a breakthrough in solar technology.
Why thin film solar panels are so important?
The thin film solar technology is considered a breakthrough because, until now, the two obstacles that have prevented solar energy and technology become conventional energy suppliers have been the 1. the cost of producing, and 2. problems quickly in the mass production of them.
Both problems have been resolved. This paves the way for rapid expansion of clean energy in the form of solar energy.
What is film solar technology fine?
The thin film solar technology is a method of making extremely thin films of photovoltaic material on a thin layer backup support.
This is possible thanks to new inventions, such as solar ink. A photovoltaic material is dissolved in a solution, then printer as ink. Then print, similar to how books are printed.
Since the invention of solar ink, you can print photovoltaic material thin layers of tissue in plastic or metal. This printing process is extremely fast, allowing you to mass produce solar panels at high speed in just a fraction of the cost.
Whereas in the past, solar panels were bulky and heavy serious amount, the thin film solar panels weigh about and hardly anything involving space. This means that solar panels can now produce only 5 percent of the cost compared to our old bulky solar panels.

The ability to literally print solar panels in fabric, plastic and metal has opened new horizons in the application of solar energy.
