A plurality of series connected solar panels are classified into three categories:

A panel of 36 cells recommended for very hot climates in order to offset the loss of output of high temperature. Also to compensate the voltage drop in the systems with long cable runs.

Design Power is simply the open circuit voltage multiplied by current shorted. Designers use this figure to group the rate of the components used in the panel and the peripheral components.
If you offer a panel of about 20 volts open circuit and 3.5 amps of short circuit current, the power of design will be 70 watts. The components of the system must be capable of handling 70 watts, 3.5 amps and 20 volts.
