Why we are not offering a grand prize tax free enterprises to develop an energy efficient and low?
Why is the government U.S. simply offer a 1 billion dollar tax-free prize for people who develop solar energy? I know we have certain degrees of solar energy use is it now, but why not go for high-priced winner for everyone here and even the world? Why can not we trying to persuade and scientific products and companies to go after this with a very large carrot, tasty as a tax of 1 billion dollars-free award to find an alternative solar or fuel cells is relatively inexpensive and could ignite a large majority of households and vehicles in the U.S.? If that does not is a demand for something, I do not know what it is … And do not tell me we can not afford either. If billions of dollars can come out of nowhere to issue refund checks taxes, the space program to Mars, and senseless wars / occupations in Iraq, then we can fund this incentive useful and beneficial.
Billion dollars would be a drop in the ocean (already doing 50-100 billion dollars a year in profits) is not sufficient to attract oil companies to develop something that would make their main income source (fossil fuels) obsolete.
