How much funding is needed for 20k solar dish system being introduced into CA by Stirling Energy Systems?
Stirling Energy Systems Inc. introduced a new concept of solar energy thanks to satellite dishes to concentrate the sun's heat and then transfer the heat to a Stirling engine to produce electricity (solar-electric). We worked with the DOE and Sandia National Laboratories in the prototype test. Finally, now that all corrections and verifications made, are making a larger plant in California of about 20,000 plates. Does anyone know the approximate funding that is required for this project? And there have been big problems with the system (such as energy efficiency, the cost of power generation efficiency, anything)?
