How plug-in "of a solar cell at home?
I read about these DIY solar cells, blah, blah, blah. But, How to use one to run the appliances in a house realistic? And what makes the electric meter run backwards?
A cell solar produces a dc voltage. The net is AC. Anything connected to generate back to the network has to be synchronized with the mains (AC waveform on the same frequency, period) to connect what you are suggesting requires an inverter (converts direct current into alternating current) that suitable for synchronization Electricity grid. They are available in the market along with the solar panels. If the net charge is less than what they generate, then return to the power grid. You need to get confirmation of your energy supplier before you go trying to connect anything like this, but its quite feasible. Very expensive, but doable
