Realization of a single crystal solar cells under concentrated sunlight?
I want to build a parabolic solar concentrator to produce photovoltaic power. It is possible through the use of normal single crystal solar cells with a concentration of 40 destinations with sun and a dissipation heat, or I have to seek special solar cell for photovoltaic concentrated?
It is possible, but avoid reaching the high temperature cell, Applications for this GaAs cells are much better than silicon (Si) cells, because GaAs is more efficient and are much less disturbed by the high temperatures (but need cooling too …) By the way …. concentrate sunlight that do not get more volts, but only a higher current, because the cells have a fixed voltage ….
