renewable energy engineering degree

What is an important asset for my "dream job"?
I am a sophomore in high school and I start thinking in my college dorm. I am very interested in researching new methods of obtaining renewable energy as a career. Also included would be beneficial for a business degree. I do not know how important it would be ready for the research part of the work. Maybe some kind of engineering? On the face of business perhaps a degree in finance and eventually an MBA. Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
It seems to me that you'll probably want to go to a major something of Physical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. All these important consist of a large amount of research, and VERY large hard, so I would not recommend trying to do a double major. If you have not, check out www.princetonreview.com. It can give you a better idea of what each one of the most involved. Good luck.
