difference between solar panels solar cells

What is the difference between a solar cell and a solar panel?
these two are one and the same? or if the panel can not function without a cell phone and vice versa? i need to build a battery charger with solar energy .. that I need? solar panel is enough? solar cell? or I have to have both? I'm pretty confusing. please help me. ^ _ ^
Each cell produces about 0.5 volts. For more stress, the cells are connected in series. For more current, more cells are added in parallel. A solar panel is the result.
