Random acts of kindness movement has come into our lives through days goodness, kindness Clubs, stickers and, believe it or not, "how to" Hand of kindness. It has become a right, not trendy and fashion-what-you-done. Acts of kindness (a play on the words "acts of random violence") can be planned or unplanned, but by an act type is called a "chance", which has to be done anonymously.

Random or not, anonymous or not, the world is better when the kindness and compassion for others flourish. But what happened to non-random, attach to a name, goodness courtesy visit us? What happened treatment of everyone we know with respect and consideration? This was the courtesy we learn before we could explain to our own names. "There Be nice, fair play, and share. "It was part of our daily lifestyle and no matter if it was given anonymously or not, or with strangers or friends, acquaintances or relatives. It does not seem to see much more.

Let's be realistic. At work, we are very polite people we are trying to get something – like a review the stellar job, a promotion or a better team. But courtesy should be extended to everyone – and I mean all our staff, our office manager, receptionist, the security guard, the cleaning staff – you get the picture. The initials behind our names and positions of the companies that have not absolve us from treating others and at all times.

Courtesy is the simple and thoughtful words and actions that take seconds to do and have lasting effects. It is the greeting to the receptionist in the morning instead of walking by pretending not to see her, saying "thanks" when someone drops the mail room package, and recognizing the person who created the sandwiches in the conference room for business meetings at lunch, or buying a second cup of coffee and brings it to his assistant.

The next time you're in the elevator with someone struggling to hold three strokes of files, instead of saying what he thinks is a witty remark like, "You certainly have your hands full!" say, "Can I give you a hand with that?"

Do not misunderstand me. Acts of kindness are wonderful and can be fun at a time. However, they are in addition to our daily attention. Side effects of treating everyone with respect at all times helps to reduce stress and relieve tension eaten in productivity of our businesses. Best of all, it creates an environment in Monday morning not so bad and the good will is contagious.

Courtesy belongs in the place of work and do not let the revolving door of our office buildings 9-5. We could start a campaign to bring civility back into the workplace and giving it a name, Crusade as a courtesy, or designate a day, or create stickers. Instead of doing all that and our energy expenditure by an act of courtesy, we will do, every day, quietly and simply.
